Our Story

Anvil & Ink started on a bedroom floor in the 1980s—or at least, that’s when the spark ignited.

I was eight years old when my best friend’s older brother invited us to play Dungeons & Dragons. I had no clue what I was doing, but I was instantly hooked. Dice, dragons, dungeons, and the thrill of creating stories together? I was all in.

Years of campaigns, game systems, and world-building followed. I went to art school to make video games, spent 15 years running a circus (yes, really), and eventually found my way back to what started it all: D&D.

In early 2025, I ran a game for my nieces and nephews. They loved it. I turned that adventure into The Stolen Festival Bell, published it, and Anvil & Ink was born.

Why do I do this?

Not for the sales (though those are nice). I do it because I remember the magic of rolling dice on that bedroom floor. The creativity, the camaraderie, the pure fun of it all.

Every guide and adventure I create is designed to give you the same thing: practical tools to build epic characters, run unforgettable games, and share moments of joy with your table.

Whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been rolling twenties for decades, I’m here to help you forge legendary adventures.

Our Mission

We build resources that actually work at the table:

Authenticity over stereotypes — Real characters, not caricatures
Action over theory — Use it tonight, not next month
Creativity over complexity — Enhance fun, don't bog it down
Players first — We're gamers who publish, not publishers who game

Let's forge something legendary.
